ClipDex Terms of Use
1. Scope
These terms apply to your use of the macOS app "ClipDex" (the "app").
The app is distributed exclusively through the Mac App Store, and the licence for the app itself is Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "standard EULA"). Where these terms and the standard EULA disagree, the standard EULA prevails as far as the licence for the app is concerned. You can read it on Apple's site.
2. Purchase and refunds
ClipDex Pro is a one-time in-app purchase. Purchases, restores, and refunds are all handled under Apple's App Store terms and procedures. The developer never receives your payment details and is not in a position to grant or deny a refund (see section 8 of the Privacy Policy).
3. What Pro covers
If these terms or the app change in the future, the scope of a Pro purchase made before that change will not be narrowed retroactively. Whether a newly added feature falls under Pro will be stated at the time it ships.
4. What you may not do
- Use the app to break the law or infringe anyone else's rights
- Copy, modify, redistribute, or sell the app, or use the material bundled with it without permission
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app, except where law expressly permits it
5. Ownership
The program, interface design, logo, and bundled material of the app belong to the developer.
By contrast, the developer claims no rights whatsoever over the data you handle with the app — what you copy, what you save, and what you export. That data lives only on your Mac and is never transmitted to the developer.
6. No warranty
The app is provided as is. There is no guarantee that it fits any particular purpose, that it will remain available, or that it will be free of defects. Except where the law forbids it, the developer is not liable for damage arising from use of the app.
Note that the app removes the oldest clips automatically once an item limit is exceeded (the conditions are listed on the support page). Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose.
7. Changes to these terms
If these terms change, this page will be updated and the last-updated date revised.
8. Governing law
These terms are interpreted under the laws of Japan. This does not override mandatory consumer-protection law in the country or region where you live.
